The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel - Season 5

Amazon

I worked on season 5 of the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel for a full year. I was on as an Assistant Art Director, which in a New York context meant I would be drafting, model making, and concepting depending on the day and what was needed. It was a great project to be a part of, and as you’ll see below, it gave me the opportunity to work on a wide variety of sets.

Stills from Season 5 which show some of my work:

The Gordon Ford Show:

I was first brought on to build this model for the Gordon Ford Office. This project led to another, and I ended up building models and drafting for all of season 5.

We designed statues for the exterior of Gordon Ford’s Offices, which would be seen through the windows looking out on the city. These images show my process of sketching, sculpting, and having the 14 foot statues made quickly and inexpensively out of foam.

Model Making:

Throughout the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, it was standard for us to build paper models for the sets. See below, our assembled models for the all of season 5!
